From the developer:
Squawker is a small application I wrote for use in the Network Operations Centre of an ISP where I once worked.
It does not require very much resource from the Macintosh, and will happily run on an older (PPC or Intel) otherwise unused machine.
The program listens on a UDP port for messages from various servers on the network.
You may want to check out more software for Mac, such as Chicken Invaders 4, Chicken Invaders 4: Ultimate Omelette Christmas Edition or RememBird, which might be similar to Squawker.
