TideText X 1.0 for Mac was available to download from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available. Please check the Mac app with an antivirus before launch as it is downloaded from the developer's website, and we cannot ensure that it is safe. TideText X for Mac is included in Productivity Tools.

TideText is a simple, unstyled ASCII text editor. Hold down Command-Option while dragging a file of any type onto its Dock icon, TideText will open it & display it as text.
TideText has one lonely special feature that comes in handy at times - you can save a document as a template file by choosing 'Save As Document Template' from the File menu.
