VDB is a tool to put in your shell scripts to edit and display tables. Some people use it for browsing UNIX configuration files and the output of UNIX pipelines.
You may want to check out more software for Mac, such as d-d Zone, FileVaporizer or SoundBite, which might be similar to VDB.
