This free Mac application was originally created by ReadPixel Software. According to the results of the Google Safe Browsing check, the developer's site is safe. Despite this, we recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus software.

In the operating system 10.7 Lion, the remote wake function of the mac device is slightly modified by Apple. The mac still responds to the remote wake function but the response is different from the one in previous versions, meaning that the device will wake up but the screen will remain turned off, this in turn prevents the RemoteTap from running. The WakeScreen program manages to overcome this issue by turning on the screen.
