inSSIDer
Gain information about the nearby wireless network access points by running a scan from your Mac. The suite provides a description of wireless card capabilities, tracks network signal strength, checks security settings and encryption method. RSSI value, vendor, network type, security type, MAC address are also analyzed.
inSSIDer 4.2.4.1 for Mac was available to download from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available. We recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus. InSSIDer for Mac is included in Internet & Network Tools. The actual developer of this Mac application is MetaGeek, LLC.
