The 2.5 version of xlsLib for Mac was available to download on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available. XlsLib for Mac lies within Developer Tools, more precisely IDE. This free software for Mac OS X is an intellectual property of Dario Gonzalez and David Hoerl. From the developer:

A C/C++ multi-platform library for dynamically generating Excel(TM) files.

Main features:

- support for UTF-8 strings (must have iconv on your system)
- fixed a problem where files exactly 130 512blocks long were unreadable
- hopefully fixed the md5 checksums in "make check"
- converted license from LGPL to BSD
