Description
FEBio 2.4.2 was available to download from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. The default filenames for the program's installer are FEBio.exe, FEBio2.exe or FEBio2x64.exe etc.
This free tool was originally created by University of Utah. The software lies within Photo & Graphics Tools, more precisely 3D Design. The following versions: 2.4, 2.3 and 2.2 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users. FEBio is a nonlinear finite element solver that is specifically designed for biomechanical applications. It offers modeling scenarios, constitutive models and boundary conditions that are relevant to many research areas in biomechanics. All features can be used together seamlessly, giving the user a powerful tool for solving 3D problems in computational biomechanics. FEBio supports steady-state static, transient quasi-static and dynamic analyses.
