Finale Reader 15.0r1 was available to download from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. We recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus. The software is included in Multimedia Tools.
The actual developer of the free program is MakeMusic, Inc. This free PC software can deal with the following extensions: ".mus" or ".ftm". Finale Reader is sometimes referred to as "Finale Reader 2009", "Finale Reader 2009J", "Finale Reader 2010".
The following versions: 15.0 and 14.0 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users. The default filenames for the program's installer are Finale Reader.exe, finale.exe, Findemo.exe, FinReaderWin.exe or uninstallRD.exe etc. This PC software is suitable for 32-bit versions of Windows XP/Vista/7/8.

Finale Reader is a free downloadable software that can open, play, and print any Finale family file – as well as MusicXML files. The Finale Reader lets you share your music – with students, friends, relatives, colleagues, and publishers. The Finale Reader is also compatible with older versions of Finale, Finale PrintMusic, Finale SongWriter, and Finale NotePad files.
