Test Maker
Review
If you are a teacher or perhaps you need to test your employees, Test Maker Deluxe is the tool that can be of assistance. The software allows you to create tests, perform testing and get tests results.
First of all you need to create a database consisting of classes, groups and users who will take the tests. Then you can create tests proper (sets of questions) and publish them.
The software allows you to make questions of three types: those having only one correct answer, those having several correct answers and questions the answer to which should be an essay.
Before publishing a test you can specify a group of users to take it as well as some special parameters. For instance, you can set the number of points for each correct answer, decide on time limitation, and so on. Actually a published test can consist of several tests that you have in your database and the questions can even be shuffled.
When a person passes a test, they get information about spent time, the number of corrects answers and the score for the test. An administrator can view more detailed information including start and finish time and time spent on answering each question.
Unfortunately the user interface is not quite user-friendly and it takes time to learn the order of steps. Moreover, there seems to be is a mess with terms. For example, by a test bank they mean a test, by a test they mean a question, etc. Otherwise, the program is fine.
