Wikitup is a small search tool with a funny logo that speaks for itself: Look it up, baby!
It works smoothly, and the interface is very user-friendly. It acts as a multilingual dictionary and also 'Wictionary' - finds all the information on a given lexical unit. You can filter the search by words only, video, pictures or sound. The data is brought from popular websites, such as Youtube, Soundcloud, Google translate, Google image etc., including some social - Facebook and Twitter. You can choose active sources on the settings menu from those available in the software.
Someone may think that the tool doesn't differ much from an ordinary search on the web, as I also though before trying this product. Still this one appeared to be very concrete in finding what you need that saves your precious time. If you need a song, for example - write in its name or the words from it in the search field, and it will quickly find the related items.
The program also preserves the search history, and you can click back to see the words you looked up before - the option I didn't face before in a common dictionary.
There is also a useful feature that is enabled by ctrl+right mouse clicking on any word in any document or on the web - the program automatically finds its translation and information in Wikipedia, that saves your time, as you needn't type in the lexical unit required.
Some warning: the software installs its toolbar without a possibility to untick the option, it also works only with Internet Explore and Firefox browsers.
To conclude, I would say the tool is quite handy, considering that it is also free and lightweight.
Tested on Windows XP.
