EngageX
The 1.0.5 version of EngageX for Mac was available to download on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available. We recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus. The program lies within Education Tools, more precisely Teaching Tools. This free Mac application was originally designed by FileWave GmbH.

EngageX is the companion application to the FileWave Engage system. This native OS X app allows teachers to share classroom content with students using Macs, direct students to take a poll or visit a site, “black out” or lock student screens, keeping distractions hidden during times of instruction. Teachers can send messages to selected students in their class.
You may want to check out more software for Mac, such as PianoRoll, dvcUniversity or FRS Money Math, which might be similar to EngageX.
