FontForge 2.0 for Mac was available to download from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available. The following version: 2.0 is the most frequently downloaded one by the program users.

FontForge is an outline font editor that lets you create your own postscript, truetype, opentype, cid-keyed, multi-master, cff, svg and bitmap (bdf, FON, NFNT) fonts, or edit existing ones. Also the application lets you convert one format to another. FontForge has support for many macintosh font formats.
